My son encouraged me to purchase a dog to keep me company during my “empty nest” years. I gave it some thought, and decided perhaps he was right. After enjoying the Purina Dog Show we traditionally watch at Thanksgiving, we began searching the internet for information on all the dog breeds to make an informed decision. I selected a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that would best fit my needs. Turns out my son’s close friend had one and gave rave reviews about the breed!
Now naming a pet is a very serious matter. We named our cat, Boston, after the capital of Massachusetts. We decided that we were the “ capital family of pets” and to continue the tradition. Our family chose, after serious deliberation, to name our new puppy, Raleigh, after the capital of North Carolina. Thus, he was the inspiration behind opening my store.
I have discovered within the last 3 years of working within the pet industry, dog lovers are one of the nicest group of people I have ever encountered. They have a heart for taking care of their pets, and to lovingly spoil them. Most importantly, dog lovers are people lovers too! My store is open to serve you. So, Stay. Sit. Chew on a treat, and enjoy the view....
Improving the care and treatment of all pets is very important. Therefore, a portion of sales goes to support animal welfare programs that promote responsible guardianship and spay and neutering programs, including Best Friends of Pets, and Petfinders
